Supported Education/ Employment
Support and guidance in the professional integration of young people with health-related reduced opportunities to find an apprenticeship in the first job market.
Supported Education (SEd) is an offer for those interested in completing a two- to four-year basic vocational training EBA or EFZ in the primary labour market. They are supported by the IV as part of a first-time vocational training or a retraining measure. We accompany the prospective customers from the apprenticeship search to the apprenticeship with an extensive Job Coaching.
Vocational training takes place at an employer’s organization in the primary labour market. During the training, the Job Coach supports and accompanies the learners as well as the training company and provides advice. If necessary, other involved bodies and persons are involved. The Job Coach is in regular contact with those responsible for training and coordinates cooperation with parents, IV offices, vocational schools, vocational training centers and other authorities.
Our goal is a successful vocational qualification and sustainable integration in the primary job market.
Supported Education is based on the action concept Supported Employment: „first place, then train“. Work experience in the first job, often as part of an internship, strengthens the self efficacy and is valuable for social integration. In Switzerland, the offer focuses on the area of dual vocational training. SEd offers an individual and tailormade process support of the young person in order to enable a successful and sustainable entry into an aprrenticeship in the first job market.
This work is particularly supported by the model of Logosynthese®.
